Next year it will be ten years since the publication of EAT PRAY LOVE. In those ten years, to my immense delight and gratitude, millions of people all over the world have read it. And as I’ve
traveled around the world all over again, meeting and speaking with many many of those millions, I’ve been amazed and moved countless times by people who tell me that the book was a doorway through which they stepped—physically, emotionally, or both--into their own adventures, in search of their own possibilities, their own destinies.
In celebration of this wonderful turn of
events, next year my publisher is bringing out a tenth-anniversary edition of the book that started it all. And in celebration of YOU and your adventures, dear ones, my publisher and I have decided to do something else. Alongside the new edition, Riverhead Books plans to publish an anthology titled EAT PRAY LOVE MADE ME DO IT—a collection of YOUR essays on the adventures that reading it helped to send you forth on.
